    1) Higher crime rates
    2) Higher construction & repair costs
    3) Higher fire risk

    Basically Mount Isa is a higher risk area than Brisbane.

    The whole $1,000 is a massive generalisation, insurance costs in the flood zones on the Brisbane River will be much higher.
