More of the same, still no quantifiable data. There is no way in hell that a battery being charged in 9 minutes is going to last 20 years. Pure fabrication.
The only thing they mention of any value in the article is this...
Energy Density: With an energy density of 500 Wh/kg, these batteries are nearly twice as dense as current mainstream EV batteries, allowing for longer travel distances in a smaller, lighter package.
While there has been a talk of this level of power density for a couple of years now, if they can actually achieve that in a production car, and not just in the lab, then that is a bit of a game changer. The biggest problem with range is the weight to achieve it. You can achieve more range by adding more weight in batteries, but then it takes more power to move the greater weight. So it is a real catch 22 situation with diminishing returns.
I can believe the 500Wh/kg claim, because this is a figure that was produced in the lab several years ago with a nano graphite battery if memory serves me correctly.
