Regarding the above, I was under the impression that cardioprotective meant the prevention of cardiovascular damage caused by other cardiotoxic drugs (as well as any cardiotoxic effects that bisantrene would have if it lacked the cardio protection mechanism).
If I understand correctly, your statement above implies it can repair damage already caused. Is there any evidence for this? Does this mean it could potentially repair damage and improve the cardiovascular health of patients who underwent treatment with cardiotoxic therapies in the past?
