The culture of Australia doesn't lend itself well to WFH quite simply because most employees see their employers as someone to do the least amount of work for & take advantage of them wherever possible. i.e. poor work ethic.
That's why WFH hasn't stuck here as well as overseas.
Workers are also finding that WFH isn't that great. Lack of social interaction, constant distractions, actually having to spend time with their kids!
WFH works well for certain positions & for certain employees but not across the board.
Also if you work for an employer who wants their employees in the office & you're adamant about continuing, you'll find yourself at the head of the queue coming restructuring time. Particularly for employers like the big 4 banks.
