the reaction on market has been slow ..as analysts ponder what it all means . But I'm thinking that will change soon. If, as appears likely, NIC challenges Merdeka Copper Gold (MDKA.JK) as the global leader in Nickel reserves and nickel production there will be an unholy rush to acquire NIC shares from the global investment institutions. So, in the context of rising nickel prices , to feed the battery materials boom, we could be looking at an NIC share price which is a multiple of today's. And, let's not discount the possibility that one of the global majors, think Glencore, BHP, Vale, makes a tilt for the company. As of August 2024 Merdeka Copper Gold has a market cap of A$5.37billion. NIC has a market cap of A$3.7billion. Whish is the easier buy? Yes, bought more NIC today.
