Yeah you can see the smash low on the right hand side of the chart which came from the broader market freak out as the Yen charged higher and upset the "apple cart". This is characteristic of the aussie when liquidity tightens up and the big spike low is pure panic. Global economies are in deep trouble, costs remain high and share markets are around record highs. We may well be on the cusp of some very serious liquidity issues and the aussie will no doubt be a "victim" if such events arise. This week may well be okay but moving into September looks a bit less comfortable.



Here's a look at the US Dollar on the daily as it moves into at least a short term low. If the liquidity game tightens up then the US Dollar will rise and it looks just about ready to do so.



Here's a weekly on the $US. You can see the massive spike on the left hand side as the US Fed got to work after the Ruski's went into Ukraine. Then the reversal lower as things began to blow up. The dollar is now testing its December 23 low. That may well go this week leaving the July low of which a spike below in one last "freak out" before it reverses.
When time's up, thats it, fundamentals be damned. The Free Market takes over and nothing can stand in its way.
