    I understood the posts by goody on high wages - that the expenditure is high due to overall staff numbers from 500 to 750 as opposed to hourly rates, but get the post relating to tradies on a rotation was $148k prolly confused his point.

    I agree that if output of 2.5Mt hasnt increased, then how has staff costs increased by 50% given technology drives efficiency or hasnt it ? Clearly the workforce has become less efficient at production.

    The comparison with pilbara isnt entirely fair IMO given the encentives offered in a remote, hot and challenging environment.

    GRR is at the cusp of a new way of mining UG (forced by ballooning opex) so perhaps as the operation restructures the staff roles may need readjustment or retrenchment to focus on the new design, either way the bank balance is set to dwindle to $60M over the next few years as costs blow out.
