Yes, and if the Fujitsu product can find a market, then considering the relative performance we should romp it in. I doubt this technology would be remotely competitive in the embedded space.
Although they do appear to have first mover advantage in the discrete market (at least relative to WBT), their device is not particularly impressive, and seems aimed at relatively undemanding applications where EEPROM has traditionally been used. WBT could already field a far superior competitor device if they so chose. However, there would be little point, as this market niche looks set to be rendered obsolete by embedded ReRAM and chiplet architecture, which are rightly the focus of WBT's near and medium term strategy.
With respect to discrete memory, WBT is aiming much higher, but that should probably be regarded as a long-term goal at this stage (> 5 years).
