PS:
IMO a country does not have to plan 'world domination"
......its simply the result of growing one's economy bigger,
better and faster than others. That has been so with
the Dutch Empire, The British Empire and now the US Empire.
One can have all the ambitions in the world re world domination
but without the economic ability to execute it, its all hot air.
So, IMO, its an oxymoron to, on one hand, say that
the Chinese Economy is on its last leg and, on the other,
say it intends to take over the world some time in the future
and that we (the USA) should do something now to remedy that.
If we really believe that China has an unsustainable economy
(remember the data should fit the theory...not the other way around), then why not
laugh at its purported ambition to rule the world rather than fear it?
IMO, there will be a new generation of economists who will
analyse China for what it is & data based ; not for what it ought to be
according to obsolescent western economic theory
