I think an additional question for any testing is why go to a lab when you can do it at home. I expect this will be a massive trend whether wearables or lab-on-chip, and you move from testing more to monitoring, avoiding or noticing acute changes (in the kidney example I think potassium levels can change rapidly at times) and fine tuning care. Throw in an app that shares results with a doctor and it becomes a whole new world.
