The gold that Taipan mined in that one year between 1995 and 1996 is worth 21 million dollars at todays gold price, that is about the same as the EMC market cap.
Going by the Taipan figures, EMC should be able to mine at least 6000 ounces of gold a year plus any additional revenue from tailings leaching.
I have it at a gold revenue of at least 400k a week, what's the costs to mine each week with a small fleet of equipment and toll costs, could not be more than 100k to 200k ?, probably closer to 100k a week in operational costs and toll fees.
I suspect that because Taipan had to set up the pit and mine, that there mined gold figures was lower than it would be today if being mined, mined gold figures very well may be double or triple when the mine restarts next year.
