@twouptom; you've mis-represented Zali Stegall's comments in Parliament.
Stegall did NOT go into bat for Hamas at all, she was addressing the slaughter of Palestinian civilians by Netanyahu's US-German-UK resourced, rogue, psychopathic, genocidal regime. In particular she was drawing attention to what Netanyahu's Regime has done to Palestinian babies, toddlers, young children, teenagers and to their mothers [none of whom are Hamas operatives].
The incredibly rude, disrespectful and loud would-be bully-boy interjections by Dutton and his goons which went unpunished be our weak 'Speaker' took it's toll on Stegall - a decent person already distressed at recent reports of human suffering out of Gaza.
For the record, even though it appealed against interim findings from early this year, as of July 19th 2024 Netanyahu's Regime has already incurred the wrath of the
International Court of Justice which declared Israel's occupations and authorisation of 'settlers' ILLEGAL and even ordered it to get out of Palestinian territories immediately.
Still pending are arrest warrants being sought by the ICC's Prosecutor against Netanyahu and his some of his henchmen for war crimes and crimes against humanity. They seem certain to join the list which includes Vladimir Putin and Hamas figure-heads.
Stegall demonstrated that she would have called out Hitler and his Third Reich. IMO her comments have already been vindicated by the ICJ, the ICC, the UNGA, UNSC and the UNHCR.
