A few years ago we had the brother-in-law and wife over to dinner while they were in Oz. Also had quite a few other family members. Did a big bolar of blade in the Weber with all the roast veggies, cauliflower cheese etc. In between all this we found a heifer with calving problems. Brought her in and pulled out a live calf. Then get back to the house, have a shower, hand out beers and nibbles and totally forgot that the wife is vegetarian. At the last minute had to scrounge around the freezer to find a marinated chicken breast to cook for her. Phew, we pulled it off. Got to say the beef left the chicken for dead. Everyone went home happy (or was that the red wine talking?)
