No It seems he did an excellent job, Given the announcements confirming everything is on track and forecasts are being beaten.
It seems the market and the Shorter have misread the form sheet.So I'm left with the thought that the CEO we needed after Steve left wasn't the CEO the board feel we need to make the most out of the underground operation
When Steve left the board didn't even have a plan to continue mining so had nothing to offer a highly credentialed and very successful underground mine manager. They sure do now that, thanks to Lachlans efforts, the mine is ramping up and all the assumptions for a successful outcome have been tested and have passed with honours.
You will recall that the mine manager we had when the plant was on care and maintenance and in the lead up to final investment decision wasn't the guy we needed to develop the mine.
Let's hope we need a bean counter who can count bigger numbers in the not too distant future.
