@kingpins I am guessing you can't be bothered to sue!? I have only had a few minor operation and one was totally unnecessary, the 'surgeon' happened to be my country doctor, proceeded to do an operation despite my protests, when he found out that my nervous 'stomach troubles' were not caused by a sick appendix and had removed it and found it to be healthy, then did a laporotomy just to check if there was anything else wrong, and left a botched scar on an up-to-then perfect body. It bothered me all my life, now no longer, of course. But these people should be sued. No longer perfect, no longer bothered, but I often wonder what makes these people tick - probably too much 'country practice' and not enough exciting stuff, in my case. One of my daughters is an osteopath and she has to submit herself to a check of her professional capabilities on a regular basis - not yearly, but at least every 3 years or so, I wonder if it's the same in all the medical profession?
So maybe you should go back, complain and see if something can be done, to undo the damage? But better see another specialist first. But failing all that, be thankful that it only affects your reading - there is so much interesting stuff around on all other media. Go well Taurisk
