never anything wrong with disagreement old cock. its what keeps democracy strong.

nuclear energy though is the only means of providing baseload energy to cushion any shortfall in renewable energy.

I much prefer non-nuclear, such as more hydro or pumped hydro, but this tech seems to be beyond govt (either side) management. looking at the appalling stuff up of Snowy2 I can't help but wonder at the low degree of intelligence provided by political parties being in control.

imo if Dutton had provided details and costings on his nuclear energy policy he'd be on a real winner by now. the community sentiment is mixed but still remarkably in favour of nuclear (except when its close to home). if he gave confidence to the community that he was up to speed the Labs would have taken notice and upped the ante.

but Dutton has nuttin' and so the Labs feel safe to say nothing when they should be providing real information and so join in the debate.
