There's no point in trying to explain it further.
The audience you're trying to educate is already aware of their mistakes but is so invested in their current path that they continue on regardless.
For instance, take MRC as an example: despite being heavily promoted and ramped up by said audience , it seems to have faltered significantly and has not traded in quite some time.
This illustrates that their track record of predictions and guidance is unreliable at best.
