I agree with you. I think it is stupid that, as a nation, we decide to ship more product to China whilst prices are low. This just prolongs the low in the cycle and allows China to stockpile our product at cheap prices. It also robs our government of millions of dollars in taxes, which would have flowed onto the Australian people.
However, we operate as a democracy and it is every company for themselves. As investors, we have to factor this into the decisions we make. The Chinese government must have a good laugh at us.
