Not difficult to get rough distances between the two pits from google ... between the portal / box cut to where they want to be under the west pit is ~1km ...
... if you include the ventilation decline then we are up to 2km ...
.... add in the cross cuts its well over 2km ...
... average development cost per meter is $20,000 ... this cost will be way higher due to the clays / sands and support needed ...
.... i stand corrected ... my estimate of $20M is super conservative ...
