speaking of mum and dad investors, as I probably am one, and am ok with the term, you will see a lot of pull back in the SP after a run as they are selling out to break even. Many of these M&D investors were drawn into SDL at the peak of the wave before GFC. I know many around my workplace who got in around 60-70c. M&D investors don't have stop/loss limits and are just waiting to get there money back before selling out, never to trust the sharemarket again! I on the other hand have done much research and will stay in for the long haul and hopefully retire with something in the kitty.
Just my opinion and i know there will be other reasons for SP fluc's judging by some of the sell order's etc. but i feel the theory must have some merit?
On the other hand i think M&D investors are a long way of dipping there toes back in the water (we them wait for the peak of the boom when the fish and chip man says buy some SDL) so people accumulating shares now, imo, are keeping them.
