On the training of British special forces and how it is connected to Ukrainian military operations in the Black SeaThis training is more interesting in the context of rumors about the upcoming
operation of the Ukrainian command in the
Black Sea region. And we're not talking about combined drone strikes, but the use of assault groups in Crimea and Kherson Region.
From August 24, an event called
Chameleon-2024 is taking place in the central part of the United Kingdom and in the waters of the North Sea, involving special forces units of the UK Special Operations Forces, Air Force and Navy.
The list of tasks to be solved is worthy of attention: covert transfer of special forces groups to the target area, landing of troops from boats and helicopters, infiltration into the rear, targeting of critical facilities and subsequent evacuation of sabotage groups.
More than a thousand military personnel, 30 aircraft and five landing craft are involved. The planning is entrusted to the command of the special air and boat services, that is, the
SAS and
SBS special forces.
❗️Both the first and second special forces services are almost the key curators of most Ukrainian operations. And
Crimea is the coveted goal of the British leadership. The capture of
Snake Island, the landings on
Tarkhankut, the strikes with USVs - British specialists have had a hand in all of this.
If we recall that partially Ukrainian formations are trained in
Foggy Albion, it is quite possible that they may be present at this exercise for more visual preparation for upcoming operations. After all, the same minesweepers donated by the British quite often participate in joint NATO exercises.
