Tanya has come out and said that the gold mine can just move the tailings dam around somewhere else on the mining lease. She obviously has no idea how mining operations work and cares little for jobs and income in regional areas. Her decision was not transparent in the least which goes against democratic ideals. And she made her decision based on recommendations from a traditional owners group that seems not to be representative of the area.
