Jakarta, August 16, 2024 – Supply Chain & National Capacity Summit (SCM Summit) 2024 successfully brought together stakeholders of the Upstream Oil and Gas Industry which was attended by up to 10,000 stakeholders of the Upstream Oil and Gas Industry. This event was organized by SKK Migas and collaborated with KKKS at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) which started on August 14-16, 2024. The theme of this year's SCM Summit is " Navigating Long Term Plan Through Integrated Supply Chain for National Capacity Building".
The challenges faced by the Upstream Oil and Gas Industry are increasingly complex each year, making this event a forum for mutual discussion, Focus Group discussions (FGD) and collaboration between various parties. On this occasion, participants can also interact with fellow Industry Leaders, as well as speakers to express ideas and build beneficial strategic partnerships.
The implementation of the 2024 SCM Summit presents around 27 booths of National Oil and Gas companies. Not only that, the event also opened booths for National Capacity, CIVD, CHSEMS, and Customs as a form of coaching for vendors to understand and actively participate in the procurement of the Upstream Oil and Gas Industry. One of the booths that participated in enlivening the 2024 SCM Summit event was EMP (Energi Mega Persada) along with its business units, namelyEnergy Equity Epic (Sengkang) Pty. Ltd and Kangen Energy Indonesia Ltd.
The 2024 SCM Summit also invited the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, and the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Arifin Tasrif. One of the important agendas carried out on the third day was SKK Migas signing a memorandum of understanding or MOU which in the future will strengthen the supply chain ecosystem of upstream oil and gas projects in Indonesia. At this event , 10 Gas Sale and Purchase Agreements (PJBG) were also signed, one of which was the PJBG between Energy Equity Epic (Sengkang) Pty. Ltd, PT. Energi Maju Abadi, PT PLN (Persero), and PT PLN Energi Primer Indonesia.
In closing this event, Mr. Rudy Satwiko as Deputy for Business Support at SKK Migas said:
"This event is a collaboration between SKK Migas, KKKS, Local and Global Vendors. The function of SCM as one of the keys to the progress of the Industry must be strong enough and able to adapt to Global Market conditions, this is in line with the keynote speech from the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources which emphasized the importance of solid collaboration from the SCM function in the Upstream Oil and Gas Industry ecosystem. At this event, digitalization as proof of transparency in the procurement process was also discussed in the keynote speech from Mr. Arifin Tasrif, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources and Mr. Luhut Binsar Panjaitan, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment. In addition, Mr. Luhut emphasized the importance of harmonizing regulations in the Upstream Oil and Gas Industry with global demands so as to be able to attract investment in the Upstream Oil and Gas Industry." He said.
