Dumb morons don't understand that the media makes a sensation of rare events, so the FWs buy their papers.

Dog bites man is boring, man bites dog is interesting.

EV fires are very rare.

Single fatality car accidents are very common, and might get a few lines each, but a car with 4 people dead, or worse still a bus returning wedding guests and kills a dozen is in the news for months. MH 370 has been in the news for years - a one off event.

Unfortunately those same dumb morons then claim the world is falling apart. They go scouring the universe looking for events to support their thesis. Then they say that those who don't agree with them are biased.

What about those oil spills from tankers - destroy the livelyhood of thousands of people. Do those morons care?

The wars fought over oil. How much suffering?
