I form the light, etc, simply points our the relative state of being human. God makes light and the consequence of light is the absence of light which is darkness. Light has substance darkness does not.
God makes peace and peace has substance, the absence of peace is a void, or evil. It is explaining this world of relativity we start off in. Darkness can be blindness to truth, just as the dead are some times not literally dead.
You come from a book, there are other books just as spiritually significant.
I don't step away from the book, I research themes that help explain the Bible in ways that are not mainstream. The Bible has even explained just how hopelessly lost Christianity would become and yet this seems to make no impression on Christians who parrot the same beliefs that have been presistent for countless generations. I'm not contrarian for the sake of it.
I have read a lot of Baha'i literature now, which is Kam's faith and I find it illuminating and greatly insightful. It's a religion with practical solutions for this age which no other religion has. I came to appreciate the Bible and Jesus because the writings of Kam's faith gave me fresh eyes to see the Bible with all the fundamentalist crap cleaned away.
