    I don't mind stock options for employees.
    That is truly a performance based compensation: if the company succeeds, they make out great, otherwise not.

    I knew a guy who was a waiter or dishwasher in a restaurant, then got a customer service job at a startup and ended up buying the restaurant where he used to work.
