I've reached out to directors of speculative stock companies I've been invested in many times over the years, but have found that more often than not, they can't tell me anything of substance that I couldn't find out myself by research.

They'll almost always paint a rosy picture of near future expectations which rarely eventuate.
I don't blame them for that, for the most part. Not much point trying to achieve anything without believing you can and I'm sure it's a lot harder to pull off huge plans with listed specs than most of us think.

That said, there have been times when I've been excited after speaking to an ASX listed company director and it's later become apparent that they were just pissing in my pocket.
