Wow, they're good. You write well, too. :) It's funny: I got in to the share market at the bottom of the most recent correction. I started with takeovers, which proved to be quite lucrative (a bull market helped that, too, wirh the suitor share price going up in a scrip offer, helping the target price also), and I did some demergers, capital returns, etc. Then I moved to other things- more "vanilla" shares, and that became a bit more complex. In a bearish/corrective market, takeovers seem to me to be the safest "bet" there is on the sharemarket, even though they too, can be problematic.

chamonix, your posts were a great read. Thank you for them. You have no doubt had much more experience than myself. Despite the inherent dangers, though, I really enjoy the sharemarket. Red days (and they've been quite common lately) often provide more learning opportunities than green ones do (green ones are easy). I just need to learn to make my mistakes with more humility. :)
