That unfortunately is not the way new anticancer drugs have to be developed. If you have a new treatment you have to test it first in those patients that have failed half a dozen different treatments and who are at the point that only a miracle will make a difference. You can have a drug that will cure 80% of people if used as a first treatment, but that will fail on everyone if used as a 7th line treatment.
There is a good reason why only 3% of new oncology drugs make it to market.
