As a reminder, Galan, Arcadium and POSCO are participating in the modernisation of Route 43, which runs from Antofagasta to the border with Salta.
I had pointed out the non-compliance of the MOU for the export of LI-CL with the provincial government with the RIGI and that a ‘creative’ solution must be found here. The 7% mining royalty agreed in the draft MOU exceeds the RIGI maximum rate of 5%.

As the provincial government of Catamarca is certainly reluctant to give up the additional 2 %, but at the same time gives top priority to joining RIGI, it is conceivable to me that ‘voluntary’ contributions for social measures or infrastructure projects could be made as compensation.
