The first couple of hundred posts on this thread are suggested reading. It's interesting (and sobering) looking at the comments on this thread more than 3 years ago when the price was 2.3c. That should dispel any notion that giving Options/open ended company funded loans etc to any employees without tying them to shareholder reward somehow works. It does for them, not for shareholders. Back then Jewel was the hope & talking point. We've come a long way operationally and grown rapidly by many measures yet the share price then was 2.3c, now it's at 1c. 'Growth' does not always equal wealth creation for shareholders. They can be mutually exclusive unfortunately. BRK so far is testament to that. Management KPI's that are tied to growth/production etc have not seen anything trickle down to shareholders....the reverse has been the case. The focus has to be on increasing shareholder wealth first. Do not reward management with bonuses of any type until shareholders are rewarded. If that's too difficult for management to stomach or to understand on an equitable/fair basis then let any that choose to 'walk' do so because if that's the mindset they have they're working firstly for themselves, not for shareholders. We're getting left behind here, management are insuring they are not irrespective of shareholder wealth. I'd hate to revisit this thread again in another 3 years and find BRK is the proud owner of 16-20 production wells yet the share price hasn't moved because despite the operational progress of the last 3 years that's what's transpired. Something has to change. Lonewolf's suggestion above that the proposed timetable of production growth over the next 3 years doesn't have to be fixed. The idea of allowing some capital to build on the balance sheet after each 4 well program for the market to recognise through an increasing share price has merit. If the market chooses not to recognise progress then management should be using that capital to buy that discounted equity back for a while and then move on to the next 4 well program. Well development alone isn't being rewarded. Something has to change going forward, this might be the way.
