By now, the team at Ramelius must have kicked the tyres of every gold prospect and jewelry shop in Australia. There's that saying to not let perfect be the enemy of good. Might apply to Ramelius as they have walked away from opportunities others have later run with. Spartan is probably as close to perfect for Ramelius as there is but being perfect it will come at a steep price for Ramelius (which I think they should pay).
As an aside I recently read a book on probabilities by Nate Silver. NS has done heaps of analysis of professional card players and he found a key difference between the best players and the rest is that the best willingly work with "good" probabilities while the rest typically hang back waiting for the probabilities to be "perfect" for them. Card games and mining projects are different events of course but with both you have to work with what you've got.
