The stereotype of the savvy Chinese investor who shows up with a partially government-backed blank cheque and makes sh!t happen is much more relevant in this day and age. Just look at Africa. China is taking over because they don't dither round for years like western companies, doing due diligence and then pull the rug 75% of the way through the process due to a change in corporate governance or risk appetite
