As far as I can tell Scotty, the flying drones can only carry a limited payload and have a very limited range. They are also extremely vulnerable, as has been proven in the Russian / Ukraine war. They can be quickly despatched by anything ranging from an automatic machine gun, to a Phalanx, to a laser or a guided or homing missile.

As for underwater drones, we know very little about them, except perhaps that their range once again would be quite limited without a base or a mother vessel or submarine.
