Yup. An older more experienced share investor explained to me that after an announcement "the professionals" wait for the dust to settle for a few days before taking a position. Typically the share price shoots up wildly after a positive announcement, and all kinds of trading crap happens but within a day or two people who jumped in to catch the rise start selling out (made their 15 to 25% quick buck), longer term holders who bought in on the falling knife after the last rise breath a sigh of relief and get their money out of the "dog stock" that bit them.

Everyone concludes "that's it, was just a flash in the pan."

IF (and I say "IF") the professionals like what they see (and based on more extensive analysis than just the price sensitive announcement), they will start buying a few days to a week after the initial rush. That's often when the true value of the latest announcement gets priced in.

Not saying it will happen - but, as you say, we now will see what the market really thinks.

Anyway, not many investors fully understand the technology behind what they invest in, in case you are interested here is a dumbed down introduction to cancer and immunotherapy that i wrote while trying to come to grips with what I have invested in.
