I don’t want to be seen as taking a ‘side’ on this (because I don’t take anybody’s side, except my own).

But I would say that the issue is more nuanced than just ‘someone is lying or not lying’.

If you’re a director trying to manage the company plus expectations of banks, potential offtake partners and shareholders while also fielding non binding takeover offers, then it becomes naturally impossible that have a perfectly consistent message (because you have to keep telling the public via the ASX that everything is moving towards DFS - because the takeover offer is not binding and could be pulled at any minute).

So I have to say that part of me understands the most recent quarterly which painted a bullish picture - mostly because I don’t believe the directors / mgt had any other option than to maintain their optimism.
