I think the Australian government is watching very closely as it is a tangible way to attack the housing shortages and also aligns with their vision to create 1.2m? homes in the next ten years.

I also think that they would be looking at how the investment in local manufacturing is benefiting the Americans too. Australian is in dire need of diversifying our economy and while gross manufacturing may be cost prohibitive there is large investment in research and high tech hubs happening.

In saying that I personally don’t think Liebher is going anywhere. If the utilisation is there then it will be a massive contract for them which will extend far into the future.
