I think that the economy has quite a bit to do with the selling over the past few months. Things have been on a quite steep slide with many businesses really hurting, a few of my friends that run business across different markets are reporting a severe downturn so it does not surprise me that it appears the selling is due to investors reassessing and cashing up as well as small retail investors cashing in to strengthen their financial position as things start to bite.
