    Traditional land holders on the Papua New Guinean island of Bougainville are in talks to form a joint business structure that would then negotiate with Australian-listed Bougainville Copper. The company is majority-owned by Rio Tinto and keen to restart operations at the Panguna copper mine that has been mothballed since the outbreak of civil war over the island's autonomy in 1989. Stock in the mining group has already risen 4.08% on 26 November 2010 and 4.58% on 29 November.
