The Last Hug” - The Last Hug is a heart-wrenching incident of two young engineers, aged just 19 and 21, who were trapped in a turbine accident. According to media reports, both engineers died after a massive fire broke out in the turbine during a routine inspection. This incident occurred on October 29, 2013, in the Netherlands, a country with many wind turbines. On that day, the two engineers were going to the top of the wind turbine for a routine inspection, as the fire started to spread you can see the two engineers embracing one another for a very last hug. The two men unfortunately did not survive on top of a wind turbine in Deltawind’s Piet de Wit wind farm in the Netherlands. Both were 80 meters above ground, doing routine maintenance only for the fire to trap and chase them to the end. “Because of the height, the fire department initially had trouble extinguishing the fire in the engine room,” says the Netherlands Times.
