Due to the anodes also being made from lithium the battery will have twice the energy density while requiring 50% more lithium

Currently there is a $1,323 cost of lithium in a Tesla Model S at an AZL price of $21 a kilo. I'm willing to bet most people would pay $661 extra for double the range.
