Why does it have to be a hostile takeover. Most biotech takeovers are negotiated trade sales. I can’t remember the last time I saw a hostile takeover in this space
The acquirer normally like to get the team to come over to bring the expertise! This is much easier in a negotiated buyout. The staff all get the performance bonuses and are happy to help finish the development with a new owner. And get to negotiate new employment contracts.
