Has it occurred to you that if there was a commercial gas resource locally that it would have been developed and put into the network that is right there at Longford ? There are pipelines that run to both Melbourne and Sydney right there at Longford. Straight into the east coast gas market which has been short of gas for a decade .

Gas production from Bass Strait has been on the decline for years . Esso has spent a huge amount of money over the last decade working over wells offshore to try and maintain production . They have only recently brought on Barracouta West to help offset the drop off from other reservoirs.

And yet you claim that there's other gas available . ? Pfffftttt.
