Gold in AUD has just broken out of a bullish cup and handle pattern.
Large order inflows are now flowing into large cap gold producers (NST/EVN).
The large caps are the canary in the coal mine.
These large order inflows are showing potential re-allocation of large capital pools into the most liquid, largest capitalised gold miners.
Gold ETF Inflows showing retail money entering gold in increasing numbers.
Gold ETF total holdings further indicating that retail interest in gold is building.
Small Cap Producers are outperforming Mid Caps and Large Caps.
I believe this is due to Mid Caps burgeoning bank balances and the need to bolster rapidly diminishing production profiles.
ALK is heavily lagging the other small cap gold producers.
Will we see ALK begin to play catchup?
If not, will we see an opportunistic takeover bid for ALK?
