Mate, these issues are not new. Trump administration spun up the 100 Day Critical Minerals Supply Chain Review years ago, out of that came the Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework/Law, Defense Production Act and Inflation Reduction Act under the Biden administration The US is f*ing useless atm, they have had ample opportunities to get this going.
