Probably because they never saw it as prospective. Only after the WA1 buzz did the ASX listed companies move in like OZM (and EQN to the west and south). Immediately to the south-east of OZM is Anglogold-Ashanti who has a truckload of gold tenements, so they must've liked something about the area. But I think they're pulling up stumps on the area for lack of prospectivity. Link to their report is here: SEI 12370989.
