The exclusive power to issue currency and set monetary policy is a government issued power. It is also owned by the Commonwealth of Australia whose board members are picked by the treasurer.... doesn't get any more Government than that.
Rocket what you should ask is who who develops the algos? What criteria do they put in their equations? They are developed buy people, they don't have some special omniscience especially given to them that you don't. Algos are great as they also supply daily liquidity to those taking the opposite transaction. Markets are more functional then ever, you just need to understand price and its movements. Recent example is Ascot on TSX, daily broke structure, retraced into demand, liquidated early sellers then continued lower. I sold out mid 60s at that point. Price kept respecting supply and it preceded the announcement yesturday that they were going on care and maintainance. Perhaps smarter individuals, workers, and/or those visiting the site (bigger money) could see things weren't going well before information was apparant to everyone, and sold enough shares to break bullish structure. The signs were there, learn TA or end up a bagholder. Don't blame algos.
I buy DRE on the expectation that they will discover more value than the sum of the cost of capital and dilution cost to do so (15% or so per year). The trend is still against us so buying now is just a value proposition. Price moves from first- value buyers then- swing traders- trend traders- ending with momentum traders. GL all
