If the Government doesn't intervene then Communist China will take over everything, China nearly has complete control already, that's the point. Business doesn't give a hoot about national security or the national interest, they have a very blinkered view of what their own interests are and that is why the nickel industry is hurting so badly in Australia. Communist China has played capitalism at its own game and is winning so if we don't want to be owned completely we need to be smarter at playing the game ourselves. BSX is in such a unique position to be useful in that it's fast becoming a very important piece of the puzzle. By realising our place in the big picture and the fact that it's not all about us and our own blinkered idea of what is in our interests we can unlock significant funding and assistance and realise our full potential. Otherwise we could just get eaten up and in the current fiscal environment that is exactly what will happen.
