after being gifted a clean balance sheet by the LNP, Rudd went on a spending spree. After the RuddGillardRudd fiasco the LNP says " what's the point in paying off debt and leaving a clean balance sheet, if all that happens is the opposition just go on a spending spree again?" There is no incentive to pay off debt. So thanks to Rudd and Gillard, neither the ALP nor the LNP will bother to pay back any debt. Instead both parties would rather just spend so much on their pet projects and leave the cupboard bare. So the next government has no money to implement their promises. And now that political thinking/action has come full circle, and the ALP is holding the bag for the massive inflation caused by massive Fed and State Gov spending . The massive spending of the past 17 years was started by the Federal ALP under Kevin Rudd. All AU voters know this, and that is why when Chalmers and Swanny try to blame the RBA, the public is calling bullshit on that. Jet
