My logic mirrors your work this way: why buy a copper developer or producer as you wait for the much-anticipated but much-delayed copper boom, when you can buy a gold producer whose product has already boomed, and which will hopefully switch significantly into copper just as the delayed copper boom arrives. Seems a much better way of ensuring consistent cashflows.....
